 NATIONAL INDOOR PLANT WEEK
3rd week of september

National Indoor Plant Week
The Goal:  To increase awareness of the benefits of live plants and how they positively impact indoor environments.

The third week in September has been designated as National Indoor Plant Week.  For one-week each year, interiorscapers, foilage growers, florists, garden centers (there is no limit) can showcase the value of indoor plants.

The goal is to increase awareness of the vital role plants play in raising the quality of our lives as well as the ecological benefits.

The oxygen doesn't arrive until the plants arrive!

How and Where:
Interiorscapers: Set up a table display in a lobby of a building that you currently provide service to during one day (or more if you choose to) during the third week in September.  Kits will be available for purchase, however you can put together your own display.

Basically you will need:  Literature or brochure on the health and benefits of live plants for indoor environments, own company brochures (so they will know how to get plants -- this is where you will promote your own company), small plants (we have a supplier) -- this will be something you will give away.  Possibly a drawing for a larger plant to be given to a tenant in the building. Make sure your business card is attached to every plant that is given away!!! Have all service techs wear a button or shirt that states " Ask me about National Indoor Plant Week"
There will be an opportunity to order these from this website!!
Garden centers: A display in the front of your greenhouse during the third week of September with the 10 best plants for Green Interiors! Have information on the value of indoor plants.
" Get a plant for someone you love this is indoor plant week"

Florists: A week or two before National Indoor Plant Week include with every delivery information on the value of indoor plants as well as a reminder to: " Get a plant for someone you love for indoor plant week."

Schools: Projects designed to educate students on the value and importance of indoor plants. Possibly projects on  why a plant grows towards light. How plants respond to gravity. How plants grow from fertilizer. How important water is to a plant.  These are just a few examples.
What we hope to do is plant a seed for the future.
